Jan Downing joined her husband, Pat, managing deliveries and working in the showroom. The family embarked on a mission to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care.
Their children, Dee and Jenny started their own careers in the medical field, gaining valuable experience and becoming respected experts in their areas of expertise before they too joined the family business in the early 2000s.
The late 1980s brought new challenges and opportunities. With the advent of home healthcare needs, Med Shop Total Care began offering medical equipment and home infusion therapy.
The diversification was driven by the needs of local doctors and the desire to provide comprehensive care for patients in their homes. The family quickly adapted, learning to navigate Medicare and insurance requirements, and establishing a reputation for reliable, compassionate service.
